Annual MLK Lecture
The Rev. Bernice King presented the 16th Annual MLK Lecture. King is the CEO of the Martin Luther King Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change. Her talk was entitled “Advancing the ‘Dream’: Addressing Social Equity Issues to Eliminate Health Disparities in the 21st Century.”

Letter from Birmingham Jail
On January 28, 2013, the Brown-Tougaloo Partnership (BTP) presented a reading and reflection on the Letter from Birmingham Jail penned by Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on April 16, 1963.
Hosted simultaneously at Brown and Tougaloo, this program included a video presentation by students, faculty, and staff on both campuses, reading the Letter together.
