For Admitted Students

Spring 2008

Special Students must come to the Office Of Summer & Continuing Studies to pick up your registration materials on either Friday, January 18th or Tuesday, January 22nd between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00PM. After meeting with Dean Hart, students must go to the Registrar's Office to submit course choice. The Registrar's Office will be open from 8:30am to 12:00pm and 1:30-5:00pm; waiting lines tend to be longer in the afternoon. Please plan accordingly.

Students who have been admitted as Special Students for the Fall or Spring Semester are required to schedule an advising appointment with a dean prior to the start of classes. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the proposed program of study and to finalize registration paperwork. Students might also need to consult with the appropriate faculty.

Housing is not available during the Fall and Spring semesters, but is available on a first-come, first-served basis during the Summer term.

Study at the University is governed by the academic and social policies stipulated in the Brown University Academic Code and Non-Academic Conduct policy. Special students do not have access to meal contracts, Health Services, nor other services provided specifically for undergraduate students (tutoring, academic resource office, Writing Center, etc…).
