Seven-Week Credit Courses

Our Seven-week credit courses are for seniors and exceptional juniors who want to challenge themselves in full-credit Brown University courses. As a Seven-week student, you will share the classroom and study side-by-side with Brown University undergraduates. Seven-week students are tested both emotionally and intellectually and successful completion of any Seven-week course demonstrates a student is ready for rigorous Ivy-level academic work. Your experience will closely mirror that of a Brown University undergraduate; you will be given ample freedom to make decisions and that freedom will be coupled with the challenge of meeting rigorous academic standards. By completing a Seven-week course, you can be confident of your ability to navigate the waters of a modern, competitive campus like Brown.

By the end of seven weeks at Brown, given freedom and responsibility for yourself and your summer community, you will be a different person. Your perspective on life and academics will be enriched by the faculty who taught you, by the residential advisors who assisted you in making the transition from high school student to college student, and by the friends you have made from around the world.

The standard workload for the Seven-week program is two courses and all residential students are expected to be enrolled as full time students.

Courses offered are subject to approval of the College Curriculum Council.
