Academic Policies

Simply put, Brown has high academic expectations. Your classes will be filled with top-performing students from around the world.

All students must be in attendance by the second day of classes or their registration will be cancelled. Students may not change classes once the session has begun without permission of a Dean. Such permission will only be granted in exceptional circumstances. No changes will be approved after the second day for one and two week courses or after the third day for three and four week courses.

Evaluations

Leadership courses are non-credit offerings. By offering only non-credit courses this helps you concentrate on learning and the process of scholarship, not your final grade. Your progress is evaluated during conferences with your instructor, in comments on your written work. All students who successfully complete their course will receive a certificate of completion.

Financial Policies

Application fees and program deposits are non-refundable. Refunds of remaining fees will be made as follows:
Students who withdraw on or before the second day of classes (Tuesdays) will receive a refund of 80% of remaining fees, less a standard room and board charge of $273. Students who withdraw after the second day of classes will not be eligible for a refund.
