Academics
Participants will enroll in one of ten courses specially designed to withstand January in New England. All January at Brown courses are non-credit seminars of 20 students or fewer, and most will meet each day from 10-1.

Campus Life
To foster community during the program, January at Brown students will have the option to live on campus in a residence hall, and will dine together on-campus.

Events, Activities and Fun
Organized events and activities will happen daily (and nightly), and will give you a chance to spend time with old friends, make new friends, and further explore the exciting possibilities that Brown and Providence have to offer.

Co-curricular and social activities may include a midnight tour of the John Hay rare collections, workshops such as “The Road Map to a Fellowship” and “What You Need to Know Before You Study Abroad”, Providence Gallery Night, a tour of Federal Hill, ice skating, yoga and salsa dancing.
