Using copyrighted materials in an assignment

Students follow the same permissions and fair use guidelines as all other members of the university. Students using copyrighted materials, including printed documents, audio, video, and film need to abide by US copyright law.

Graduate Theses and Dissertations

In general, graduate students hold the copyright to their theses and dissertations. However, there are some restrictions and requirements which are described in the Graduate School's policy on masters theses and doctoral dissertations.
