Sophomore Concentration Declaration
Deadline to Declare: April 17, 2008
- April 17 is the deadline for sophomores entering their fifth semester to file their concentration declaration forms. Forms and detailed instructions can be downloaded at http://brown.edu/college/advising/concentration.php. Hard copies are also available in University Hall, Room 312.
- Students who do not file by April 17 will have a “No Concentration” hold placed against their Banner registration and will not be allowed to pre-register for the Fall 2008 semester.
- Please note that declaring a concentration in International Relations involves a two-step advising process. Students must meet with a track advisor first and then must see the concentration advisor. If you are an intended IR concentrator and you have not yet begun your declaration process, you need to do so immediately. You cannot wait until the deadline to declare IR.
- Students intending to declare concentrations in History or Biology are strongly advised to make an appointment with the appropriate concentration advisor as soon as possible. These concentrations attract large numbers of students, and students who wait until the last minute to schedule appointments may not be able to secure an appointment prior to the pre-registration period.
- Every department has at least one designated concentration advisor. A list of concentration advisors is available here: http://brown.edu/college/advising/concentration_advisors.php. Contact your advisor through the appropriate department.
- If you require further information, please contact Dean Tahia Thaddeus Reynaga at Tahia_Reynaga@Brown.edu or 3-2676.
