Corresponding with your Advisors

Dear first-year,

We’re looking forward to welcoming you to Brown in just a few weeks! Today’s email is about communications with your academic advisors.

All advising matches have now been set and we invite you to view the letter your Meiklejohn peer advisor has written to you: http://apps.college.brown.edu/meiklejohn_letters/. Once you’ve read the letter, please write your Meiklejohn a response, which you can submit at the same url.. The deadline for all responses is August 26, so that your Meiklejohn can learn more about you before meeting with you during Orientation.

For those of you who have not yet written a letter of self-introduction to your academic advisor, please do so asap at http://apps.college.brown.edu/ask/first_readings/. Use the First Readings selection Factory Girls to reflect on your academic aims and your hopes for the coming year. You will find out who your advisor is when you arrive on campus.
