Law School Advising
The Office of the Dean of the College provides advising and support for students and alumni interested in applying to law school. The Deans for law school advising hold information sessions for Law School advising in order for students to familiarize themselves about the application process, and hold organized events throughout the academic year related to legal education and practice. During the fall term, the office sponsors a number of recruiting events on campus at which students can talk with admission representatives from the nation’s leading law schools. Please click here to check out upcoming events on our prelaw events page.
Students are encouraged to visit University Hall Suite 213 to become familiar with our office resources. These include guide books, LSAT information, and admission data. Students and alumni are encouraged to fill out our registration form and send it into our office so that they can receive news and information about upcoming events, important deadlines, and opportunities in the field.
Individual consultations with Associate Deans Dunleavy and Simmons are available by appointment. Please call the Program Coordinator, Laura Kakolewski, at 401-863-2539 to schedule an appointment. When meeting with one of the Deans, please bring your resume, a draft of your personal statement, and a copy of your transcripts (unofficial is fine).
