Tamar Katz
Associate Professor of English
Professor Katz has been a member of the Brown faculty since 1992. She specializes in twentieth-century literature and culture and teaches courses in the English Department, the Urban Studies Program, and the Gender and Sexualities Studies Program. She has written a book on early twentieth century fiction in England and is now working on a project about memory in New York City. Prof. Katz grew up in New York City, earned her B.A. from Yale College, and her Ph.D. from Cornell University.
