Brown Summer Session
Brown’s Summer Session is seven weeks long and offers a variety of full-credit courses. Benefits of summer study include smaller classes, more opportunity for close interaction with faculty, and time to focus on a limited set of objectives. Because the schedule of study is very intense, students may take a maximum of two summer courses each year. A maximum of four summer courses may be counted toward a Brown degree. Successful completion of four Brown summer courses also yields one semester of enrollment credit, if the student wishes. Course fees are lower than those for fall and spring course offerings, and financial aid is available through the Office of Summer and Continuing Studies.
