Students with registered disabilities may be entitled to extended time for exams. In such cases, students are required to present a letter from Brown's Student and Employee Accessibility Services (SEAS) office to the course instructor stating their right to a particular accommodation. Federal law requires that approved accommodations be granted for every exam in a course. Teaching assistants are also required to inform course instructors of documented requests for accommodation. The SEAS office can help arrange proctors and spaces for exams if necessary.
