President Clinton To Deliver Policy Address at Brown University April 29

Former President Bill Clinton will visit the Brown University campus Friday, April 29, 2005, to deliver a policy address.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Brown University President Ruth J. Simmons announced today that the University will host a policy address by former President Bill Clinton Friday, April 29, 2005.

Although planning for the visit is still under way, President Clinton will most likely deliver his address on the Brown campus in Meehan Auditorium, with video simulcast to the Pizzitola Memorial Sports Center. Meehan and Pizzitola are the University's two largest indoor venues.

“President Clinton is one of our nation's most thoughtful and articulate voices on a wide range of national and international issues that are of vital importance to people across the political spectrum,” President Simmons said. “We are honored that he will visit the Brown University campus, and we look forward to hearing his policy ideas.”

Free tickets issued by the University will be required for admission to President Clinton’s address. Ticket policy and availability will be announced at a later date.

President Clinton’s address at Brown coincides with a weekend conference of the Brown University College Democrats and other College Democrat organizations from the Northeast. After delivering his policy address at the University, President Clinton will attend a separate event that is being organized by Brown student Seth Magaziner, president of the College Democrats.
