Admission Requirements
Selection to the Brown in Cuba program is highly competitive. A maximum of ten students are allowed to particpate in the program. HISP 0600 is the minimum language requirement. Preference will be given to candidates who meet the following criteria:
Applicants must have a level of writing, reading, and speaking proficiency in Spanish that will permit them to undertake a full program of study delivered in Spanish in Havana. A minimum of HISP 0600 (or equivalent fluency) is required.
A minimum 3.3 grade point average on a 4 point scale
Demonstrated interest in Cuban and Caribbean issues as indicated, preferably, by previous coursework on this region and well-thought out responses to the OIP application
