Travel Prohibition Countries
Policy
At certain sites where it has been determined that the severity of the U.S. State Department Travel Warning is particularly acute, Brown may, at its discretion, choose to prohibit an undergraduate study abroad leave or university-sponsored undergraduate activity abroad. In these instances, Brown University will not approve undergraduate study abroad programs occurring therein, nor will the University sponsor undergraduate groups, or award fellowships, scholarships, or grants to undergraduates for travel to these locations.
Until further notice, Brown has instituted a Prohibition of Travel Clause to its current International Undergraduate Travel Policy for the following countries. Enquiries can be directed to the Office of International Programs, email: OIP_Office@brown.edu, Tel. (401) 863 3555.
