DPS Detail Rates

RATES EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2012

DPS hourly rates are as follows:

• Brown Community Members - (Inside Detail)

DPS Officer - $52.15 per hour

Sergeant - $60.75 per hour

Lieutenant - $68.50 per hour

• Outside Organizations - (Outside Detail)

DPS Officer - $58.50 per hour

Sergeant - $67.50 per hour

Lieutenant - $76.70 per hour

Officers and sergeants are eligible for double-time pay on holidays. As a result, holiday rates for officers are $69.50 per hour for inside details and $77.75 per hour for outside details. The holiday rate for sergeants will be $80.75 per hour for inside details and $91.00 per hour for outside details.

Also, please note that the following rates remain in effect for Providence Police details until further notice:

Patrol Officer: $54.00/hour
Sergeant: $62.00/hour
Lieutenant: $67.00/hour
Captain: $75.00/hour
Major: $92.00/hour
PPD police car: $15.00/hour

Finally, the four-hour minimum remains in effect for both Brown University and Providence officers.
