Updates

DPS is pleased to announce its launch of the new Rave Guardian mobile safety service for students, staff and faculty at Brown.. Rave Guardian is a 100% hosted "software as a service," - which means there is absolutely nothing to install. Using Rave Guardian supplied by Rave Wireless, Brown Public Safety can respond to panic calls and precautionary timers activated by community members within campus parameters. The application works on any cell phone and any cell network in the U.S. and has been integrated into the DPS Communications Center process. More information about Rave Guardian and how to register for this free service!

DPS is currently offering a Community Survey to all students, staff and faculty. The survey is designed to solicit feedback about the Department of Public Safety's personnel, programs and services.  Specific areas of focus in this survey include crime prevention, patrol services, programming, and overall customer service. We hope to ascertain information that will allow us to support resource allocation and continued efforts to enhance the many services we render to the community.
