Join the Staff Advisory Committee or Nominate a Colleague!

Each year SAC appoints 10 new members whose terms run for two years starting every January. Typically, nominations and applications are due in October. Membership recommendations for each class are made to President Simmons in mid-November, after review by a selection board. New members are notified and begin their term in January.
Eligibility
Staff employees (non-bargaining unit) on the regular payroll having a minimum of two years University service are eligible to apply.

Details
Being a member of the President's Staff Advisory Committee is a challenging opportunity for professional development. Members serve two-year terms, attend bi-weekly full committee meetings held every other Tuesday, and participate in subcommittees, task forces, and/or special assignments.
The average time commitment can be up to three hours per week, so we encourage all interested staff members to discuss their interest in SAC with their supervisors before applying, as an important responsibility of membership is full participation.
If you have questions about becoming a member of SAC, please let us know-- drop us a line at SAC@brown.edu.
