The week before her inauguration as Brown's 19th's president, Christina H. Paxson attended the fall meeting of the Women's Leadership Council and the kick-off celebration of the Women's Launch Pad mentoring program.

President Paxson was first introduced to the Council during Women’s Leadership Conference: 120 Years of Women at Brown in May 2012. After attending the conference, she said “I heard alumnae describe how their experiences at Pembroke and Brown shaped their lives as productive and engaged adults.”

Brown women are changing the world" said keynote speaker Cecile Richards ’80 at the hugely successful Women’s Leadership Conference: 120 Years of Women at Brown that took place in May 2012. Over 550 alumnae came together to celebrate the past and present of Brown women, and the first of many future encounters with new friends.
