The Brown Cup has seen many identities over the years. Originally named All-Campus Points (then Campus Points Race), this compeition has been at Brown since 2002. The Brown Cup is an Intramural Decathlon designed to encourage friendly competition throughout the intramural season. The team that collects the most points in an academic year will be presented with The Brown Cup, and earns bragging rights for the following year.

Points are earned in several ways:

1) Participation.
Simply participating in a season or tournament earns your team points! Your team must sign up for the Brown Cup competition upon registration for each sport. Once a team finishes a season or tournament, without being disqualified, then they earn points just for participating. Here's a list of participating sports:

A = lowest division, or when there is only one division offered
B = second lowest division (High Division when there's only Low and High; or Mid Division)
C = third lowest division offered (High Divsion when all 3 divisions are offered)

2) Success in the regular season
Win = 10 points
Tie = 5 points

3) Sucess in the playoffs (for a regular season)
Win per round (must earn 3.0+ in sportsmanship) = 15 points
