At Brown, we believe that physical activity is a way of life. Benefits of regular physical activity may include:

Follow these steps to get started:


  • 1. Become a Recreation Member. (Brown & RISD students free with Brown ID)
  • 2. Register for the Group Fitness Pass.
  • 3. Swipe-in with Brown ID at the Welcome Center. The Welcome Center Specialist will issue a NEW wristband for the class you are attending.
    **NEW WRISTBAND REQUIRED FOR EVERY CLASS**
  • 4. Have fun & get fit!

About the Group Fitness Program

The Group Fitness Program provides students and Recreation Members a wide variety of aerobics, fitness, and mind/body classes. The program is designed for all fitness levels to have fun and get fit. No experience necessary to join the fitness fun.
