Meehan Auditorium was made possible by the late George V. Meehan, who donated the funds necessary to construct an arena to "service and promote" the Brown men's ice hockey program. Conveniently situated next to other major Brown athletic facilities: the Pizzitola Sports Center, and the Olney-Margolies Meehan is the proud home of Brown Bear Hockey.
