Cerebral hemorrhage

 

 

A large hematoma is apparent in this brain of a patient with hypertension. Cerebral hemorrhage is usually caused by rupture

of a small vessel in the parenchyma. Hyaline changes in the vessel wall predispose to rupture in the hypertensive patient.
