Cryptococcus
The arrow points to C. neoformans in this section from the brain which included meninges and choroid plexus. Chronic inflammation
is present. The vacuolar spaces in which the organisms are found appear larger than the organisms. Some of this disparity is due
to the capsule of the organism which does not appear on H&E stained sections. See also infections of the respiratory tract.
