Cryptogenic organizing pneumonia

This entity was formerly known as bronchiolitis obliterans organizing pneumonia (BOOP). Plugs of loose connective

tissue are present within alveoli, alveolar ducts, and/or bronchioles in this disorder. Septa are less fibrotic.

The patient is likely to have cough and dyspnea and an x-ray showing patchy nodules, especially in subpleural location.
