Independent Studies
Students may not apply Independent Study (ISP) and Group Independent Studies (GISPs) toward an American Studies concentration. Students who wish to pursue a specific topic that is not covered by standard course work are urged to consider an Honors Project. Extra-departmental courses (university courses) will be considered on an individual basis.
GLISPs may count as a replacement for the Honors Seminar for juniors who are abroad in the spring semester with the permission in advance of the Concentration Advisor.
