Brown is Green (BIG)

Welcome to information on Brown’s efforts to create a more sustainable environment. This site charts the University¹s progress toward greenhouse gas reduction and includes updates about related courses, initiatives, research, community projects and the work of student groups. As an educational institution Brown offers a unique role in contributing research, fostering innovation, and providing a model for environmental sustainability to the community and beyond. Teaching environmental stewardship both by example and through concrete learning will ensure Brown¹s contribution to a cleaner, sounder global environment.
