Manager, Research Administration & Finance
Create/submit grant proposals, post-award grant accounting
This position manages the financial and administrative operations related to pre- and post-award research activities for the Department and serves as the liaison responsible for determining related University-wide policy, procedures, and services, and has sufficient understanding of Department programs and services and the processes and resources required to support them. The Manager serves as the principle resource to faculty regarding proposal preparation, budget development and grant management. The Manager also plays a central role in managing the Department's financial operations and reporting requirements and also serves as a departmental resource and advisor to the Chair and department manager regarding the monitoring of expenditures, the preparation of complex financial reports and projections, the allocation of resources, and short- and long term financial planning.
