Child Development in Context
Welcome to the child development in context Research program
The current research project is entitled "Documenting and Understanding the Immigrant Paradox". In addition, our research team is working on the CIDC Follow-Up, a follow-up to the original CIDC (Children of Immigrants: Development in Context study), the CEO (Cambodian Educational Outcomes), a study examining the effects of family variables on positive educational outcomes in the children of Cambodian immigrants, as well as the BIS (Bicultural Identity Study), a study investigating ethnic and cultural identity in bicultural and monocultural individuals.
The Child Development in Context Research Program is a part of the Center for the Study of Human Development and the Education Department at Brown University.
Cynthia García Coll, principle investigator of the Research Program, is also the current editor of the journal Developmental Psychology. More information about this journal can be found here.
