Flannery Patton
Research Assistant
Flannery joined the team in June 2006 after graduating from Brown University in 2006 with a BA in Psychology and the History of Art and Architecture. She came to the Center having become interested in the intersection of Psychology and immigrant/refugee issues after working extensively with both populations through teaching ESL (English as a Second Language) at various centers in Rhode Island and Colorado. Currently, Flannery is preparing for the start of the Immigrant Paradox study, helping with research and edits for an upcoming book on the CIDC study, and working with Amy Marks on a study investigating how bicultural and monocultural students construct their ethnic identity and the emotional and cognitive processes involved in such a construction.
