Creative nonfiction, fiction, literary journalism.
Professional Accomplishments
Ed Hardy has been teaching in the Nonfiction Writing Program since 2001. He is an
award winning former newspaper reporter and editor and a freelance writer. His work
has been published in the Boston Sunday Globe and several national magazines. He is
the author of the novels Keeper and Kid (Thomas Dunne Books/St. Martin's
Press) and Geyser Life (Bridge Works) and a former fiction editor of
Epoch. His short fiction has appeared in many magazines including:
Ploughshares, GQ, The New England Review, Boulevard, The Quarterly, Ascent,
Prairie Schooner, New Letters, Witness, and has been listed in The Best
American Short Stories. In 2005, 2006 and 2008 he received Fiction Fellowships
from the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts. He has also taught creative writing
and creative nonfiction at Cornell and Boston College.
