Information for Prospective Students
Applications to Ph.D. programs at Brown University are submitted to, and managed through, the Graduate School. The GRE Department Code for Archaeology and the Ancient World is 1702, and the Institution code for Brown University is 3094. Our TOEFL Institution code is 3094 Brown University, and the departmental code is 11 Archaeology. The GRE is required for all applicants, and the TOEFL is required for all international applicants whose native language is not English. Although no minimum GRE score is required for admission, successful applicants tend to have very competitive test scores, as well as demonstrated fieldwork experience, compelling research interests, and strong transcripts.
Applications for admission in Fall 2016 are due on January 4, 2016.
