Winners of the 2013 Archaeology Student Paper Prizes

The Joukowsky Institute for Archaeology and the Ancient World is pleased to announce the winners of three prizes to honor undergraduate students who have shown great accomplishment in the study of archaeology through their writing.

 

Winner of Archaeology Paper Prize: ARCH1-ARCH999:

“Sacred Soundscapes: Music, Liturgy, and Architecture in Renaissance Venice"

Winner of Archaeology Paper Prize: ARCH1000-ARCH2999:

Andrew Waters:
"The Divergent Development of Cyprus in the Early Aceramic Neolithic"

Winner of Archaeology Paper Prize: All Courses:

Christopher Kim:
“5,000 Years of History: Archaeology, Nationalism, and Politics in Korea”

The competition for prizes showcased the strength of archaeological scholarship at Brown. The range and quality of work was extremely impressive. The faculty of the Joukowsky Institute congratulate the winners on their exceptional achievement.
