Winners of the 2014 Archaeology Student Paper Prizes

The Joukowsky Institute for Archaeology and the Ancient World is pleased to announce the winners of three prizes to honor undergraduate students who have shown great accomplishment in the study of archaeology through their writing.

 

Winners of Archaeology Paper Prize: ARCH1-ARCH999 (tie):

Christopher Carchedi:

Lauren Warner:
“The Social Pyramid of Food: Dietary Guidelines=Gender Guidelines?"

Winner of Archaeology Paper Prize: ARCH1000-ARCH2999:

Andrew Waters:
"Phoenician Settlement, Production, and Trade in Southern Andalucía"

Winner of Archaeology Paper Prize: All Courses:

Zakaria Enzminger:
“Early Iron Ages in Southern France: Urbanization and Colonial Exchanges in the 7th to 5th Centuries B.C.E.”

The competition for prizes showcased the strength of archaeological scholarship at Brown. The range and quality of work was extremely impressive. The faculty of the Joukowsky Institute congratulate the winners on their exceptional achievement.
