Travel to Brown

For driving directions to Brown, please see this website.

Kennedy Plaza, the bus service hub, and the Providence Train Station, home to Amtrak and Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority (MBTA) service, are both located downtown, a short walk or taxi ride away from campus.

Visitors to Brown often fly into T.F. Green Airport (PVD), which is 10 miles to the south in Warwick, RI. Visitors sometimes fly into Boston Logan (BOS) airport. From Logan, one can take the MBTA silver line to Boston South Station, and then either Amtrak or the MBTA commuter rail to Providence.

A small block of rooms has been set aside at the Hampton Inn in downtown Providence for March 11th, 12th and 13th. The conference rate is $109 + 13% tax. To get this rate, guests should make their reservations no later than Friday, February 25th. Reservations must be canceled outside of 48 hours of arrival to avoid a cancellation fee. The hotel provides shuttle service from the T. F. Green airport and from the train station. A shuttle can also be arranged to the conference.
