Actors and Makeup Help Needed
for an MCM Short
Audition for an 8-10 minute video for MCM1700B Advanced Video Production.
According to the writer/director: "The short is about an ex-boyfriend and ex-girlfriend carrying a mattress up to res-life. Along the way, the boyfriend gets hit by a car, the girlfriend falls on a piece of glass and cuts her butt and later gets stung by a bee in the neck. They're both bleeding on the mattress. It's a dark, absurd romantic comedy. I'm looking to cast both the male (Norman) and the female (Katie). If you are interested in reading the script, please email me at Benjamin_Tietze@brown.edu, and I will send you the script."
Benjamin is also looking for someone to do a little makeup, especially cuts and bruises, as well as someone who has experience in stage blood, particularly experience in making blood on clothing look natural and believable.
Information on audition times will be available early next week. If you are at all interested, please email Benjamin_Tietze@Brown.edu

Audition for an MCM production
Looking for actors to audition for an MCM production.
Auditions will be held on October 15th from 5:30-7:30 at 135 Thayer (the MCM production building) in room 1. The project is a short play which will be cut in half and turned into a video production. Rehearsals will mostly be theatrical and take place for most of the semester, concluding in a day or two of filming towards the end of the semester. The script is 10 pages long. The play is a short written by Eric Bogosian and never fully performed. A somewhat nerdy young man encounters some complications when he discovers his fiance has been sleeping with a Hell's Angel. The production picks up where he ushers his fiance into another room and confronts the biker, ultimately tricking him and saving his marriage. In the epilogue his fiance seduces him back into forgiving her.

Audition for the 2010 Department Musical
PIPPIN
Performers of all types are wanted for the Sock and Buskin/TAPS fall production of Pippin by Stephen Schwartz.
Auditions are Saturday, September 11 from 3-7:00pm and Sunday from 1-5:00pm. Callbacks will be on Monday from 7-11pm.
Interested actors should come to audition prepared to show us two minutes of their best work/act. Anything goes as long as you can do it/kill it in two minutes! If you know songs from the show feel free to prepare that, but its not necessarily and advantage. We are putting together a company of Actor/Perfomers, so at this point we are primarily interested in seeing what you bring to the party. If it is of any use to your preparation for the audition the developing concept for the show is as follows: think Pippin meets Clockwork Orange in a Steam Punk Circus/Neo-Vaudevillian world and select your material accordingly.
