Should You Attend?
The goal of the Summer Institute is to demonstrate technologies and resources which can help many classroom situations, such as:
- Would your students benefit by having online access to course materials and demonstrations so that they could review them outside of class at their own pace?
- Do you create important diagrams or modeling structures on the blackboard? Do your students struggle to copy these, perhaps missing important details? Could your students benefit from having access to an online version of these diagrams or perhaps an animation of these diagrams to use as a resource?
- Are there concepts that students consistently find difficult to grasp? Could these concepts be better explained if you had several ways to show the same phenomena?
- Are students reluctant to inform you when they are not are grasping course content? Would you like to provide them with tools to help this type of communication and make it easier for you to assess their mastery of the material?
- Do your students ask you to put your course materials online?
If you answered yes to any of the above questions, then you are a prime candidate for the Institute.
