iT@B
iTunes U @ Brown - is a partnership between Brown and Apple that allows us to create iTunes U course sites on a Apple hosted server. With iT@b you can:
- upload digital content to your course site to share with your class
- download content to your computer to be loaded onto your iPod or to be accessed with iTunes on your computer
- submit digital assignments to a dropbox folder
- create class podcasts and upload them to your iT@B site
In addition to the iT@B course sites Brown also has equipment available for participating courses. Depending on the requirements of the course students enrolled in a course using iT@B can loan out a 20GB iPod photo or a 30GB video iPod and a iTalk microphone.
How are courses using iT@B:
- The Education Department is using iT@B to share video of student teacher lessons.
- The German Department is using iT@B for students to submit audio vocabulary excercises.
- The Medical School is using iT@B to make audio recordings of lectures available for medical students to listen to on iPods.
If you would like to learn more about iT@B or want to use it for your course, please contact your instructional technologist.
