Holiday and Winter Break Schedule

Due to the extended number of days in which the University will be closed for the holidays and winter break in December, the Department of Facilities Management will curtail service as follows.

Service Calls: THE FACILITIES MANAGEMENT SERVICE RESPONSE CENTER - 863-7800: Facilities Management's 24-hour-a-day coverage will continue during the Winter Break. With the exception of Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve and New Years Day, the Service Response Center (SRC) will be staffed 24/7. On Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Years Eve and New Years Day calls will be handled by additional support through the Service Response Center.
Building Access Dormitories (with the exception of Littlefield, Miller, Wayland, and Grad Center A, B, C & D) will be closed at 5 pm on December 20, 2010, and will reopen on January 3, 2011. From December 23 at 5 pm through January 2 all building access must be arranged with the Department of Public Safety at x3-3322.
Heat Curtailment In buildings scheduled to remain open, heat will not be curtailed during the winter break. Heat will be set back in all other buildings as noted on the Winter Curtailment Schedule FY11, which is posted on Facilities Management's website.
Project Mgmt. Project Managers will monitor active projects during the winter break (with the exception of Christmas Day and New Year's Day) - typical hours will be 8:30A.M. to 5:00P.M. These managers can be reached through the Service Response Center at x3-7800.
Event Support Unless previously scheduled, there will be no Event Support services beginning at 5 PM on December 23, 2010 through January 2, 2011. Service will resume on January 3, 2011.
December 24, 2010 - January 2, 2011
    Schedule is as follows:
  • Custodial: Supervisors will be on-call for emergencies reported through the Service Response Center at ext 3-7800.
  • Trades: Staffed 24 hours a day. Supervisors will be on-call.
  • Central Heat Plant: Staffed 24 hours a day.
  • Grounds: Calls handled on an emergency basis.
January 3, 2011 Resume normal operations.
