Informed Consent


You are invited to participate in a research project conducted by Steve Guglielmo and Andrew Monroe at the Department of Cognitive, Linguistic, and Psychological Sciences, Brown University. This study examines how people make sense of others' behaviors.

If you decide to participate, you will read about an event and answer some questions about it. At the end of the experiment, we will provide more information about what we are studying and the goals of our research. 

All responses will be entered into a computer data file as anonymous responses.  Your data will be assigned a numerical code, and there will be no code list linking your data to any of your personal information Only the researchers will have access to the data files.

This experiment will take about 5 minutes to complete.

There are no anticipated risks in this study, and you should not expect to receive any direct benefits.
