UCAR SITE VISIT

On April 4, 2008 representatives from UCAR, the University Corporation for Atmosperic Research, which oversees NCAR, the National Center for Atmospheric Research, visited Brown for a site review, a necessary step in Brown's application to become a UCAR member.

UCAR membership offers many benefits to Brown faculty and graduate students, including access to many large satellite-based data sets, workshops and research experiences, and collaborations with an extensive community of atmospheric and climate researchers.

UCAR research is not limited to the atmoshere itself, but includes interactions with terrestrial, aquatic, and social systems. Please review the presentation by Dr. Jack Fellows, Vice President of UCAR, to learn more about this exciting new opportunity.
