Sara Kališnik Verovšek

I am currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Brown University.

I obtained my Ph.D. in Applied Topology in June, 2016 from Stanford University. I completed my thesis, titled "Tropical Coordinates on the Space of Persistence Barcodes", under the direction of Gunnar Carlsson. During my time at Stanford I was funded by the Stanford Graduate Fellowship.

Before arriving in Stanford, I studied mathematics at the University of Ljubljana. I obtained my undergraduate diploma from Department of Mathematics and Physics in 2009 followed by my Ph.D. in September 2013. Jaka Smrekar, Dušan Repovš and Vin de Silva supervised my work in Ljubljana, culminating in my dissertation "Persistent Homology and Duality."
