Being a BOLTer in the Fall

The BOLTer program begins with a five-day backpacking trip in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, and continues back on campus with a series of events throughout the fall. Each group works hard to maintain and build upon the connections they develop during the trip in the White Mountains. The goal of the fall program is to provide support, create opportunities for experiential learning and leadership and promote community and individual relationships for BOLT leaders participants.

The main component of the year round program is the weekly/bi-weekly gatherings and activities planned by individual groups and leaders. Most groups meet once a week for dinner on campus. On weekends groups often strike out into the wilds of Providence for various adventures, including:

  1. Movie nights
  2. Trips to Lincoln Woods
  3. Trips to the rock climbing gym
  4. Brunches at Louie's Diner
  5. Apple picking
  6. Pumpkin carving
  7. Ice skating at Kennedy plaza

BOLT also hosts events throughout the fall for all BOLTers and leaders. These events shift every year, but past years have featured

  1. BOLT Wars relay races
  2. Talent Show/Open Mic Night
  3. Scavenger Hunts
  4. Day Hike in the Blue Hills outside Boston
  5. Thanksgiving Celebration and Charity Donations Drive
