The following information is to help begin your planning process. If you haven't already, read "What do I do first?" It may clarify some of your initial questions. You can also always jump back to our full list of Planning topics.
All deliveries are scheduled based upon logistics of your event (i.e. time, location, type of service etc.).
The following are to determine the delivery time of your order:
- Delivery Only: ½ hour to 1 hour prior to your event
- Set/ Clean (no hot food): 1 hour to 1 ½ hours prior to your event
- Receptions/lunches/dinners: 2 hours to 2 ½ hours prior to your event
- Brown University Catering will make deliveries on food and supply orders over $35.00 on Campus*
- General Delivery Monday-Saturday 7:00 am to 7:00 pm the fee is $15.00
- Before 7:00 am or after 7:00 pm-the delivery fee is $25.00.
- Sundays and holidays-the delivery fee is $50.00
- Delivery to off campus locations the delivery fees are based upon the location of event and type of event. Catering Manager will determine the delivery fee.
Note: Customers are always welcome to pick up their orders at the Sharpe Refectory
Hot Food is not available for pick up
Our drivers' access to on-campus buildings
- Brown University Catering has access to the Sharpe Refectory and Andrews Dining Hall. If your event is not at either of these locations, to avoid additional delivery charges, please make the necessary arrangements to have your building and room unlocked for deliveries and pick-ups.
- If our drivers need to wait while Police & Security unlock the building, you will be billed for the time spent waiting. If this occurs we cannot ensure that your order will be set up on time.
