The NWHIC is a project of the US Department of Health and Human Services. You can search the site by health topic, check out the health calendar and connect with educational campaigns.


Comprehensive A to Z on women's health topics that will help make informed health care decisions. Read monthly health tips and gain access to research publications.


The BWHI promotes the empowerment of African American women as educated health care consumers. The site offers tools and information for women to give themselves the best self-care to prevent health problems before they occur, to recognize symptoms and early warning signs and to understand all of the options available for their specific health situations.


NAWHO has established health programs focused on the education and empowerment of Asian Americans. Visit this site to read about NAWHO's campaigns on intimate partner violence, mental health, reproductive health, breast and cervical cancer and tobacco control.


LHRC serves as a resource for lesbians, bisexual women, transgender individuals, as well as their health care providers. LHRC recognizes the need for more health research and resources for these populations. Visit this site to read recent and on-going health research, and find links to other lesbian health websites.


IWHC works to generate health and population policies, programs, and funding that promote and protect the rights and health of girls and women worldwide, particularly in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and countries in postsocialist transition. IWHC advocates for adolescent health rights, sexual rights and access to safe abortion.


AMWA is an organization of 10,000 women physicians and medical students dedicated to serving as the unique voice for women's health and the advancement of women in medicine. This site provides information about a variety of different medical issues of interest to women.
