Staff Development Day-20 Years & Going Strong!

Start your day at the Opening Breakfast and Town Meeting with President Christina Paxson on June 4. Then, it's off to morning sessions on a variety of topics covering faculty research, professional development, personal growth, and community service.  All sessions will be posted the week of May 20th!

You can't miss the special lunch Dining Services will prepare at 11:45am  to celebrate Staff Development Day's 20th birthday, and be ready to party in the Workday Financials Cafe too! We are also bringing back our most popular events during lunch, like the Art@Work exhibit and the Farmers' Market.

Afternoon sessions begin at 1:00pm, and then your day will end with the Staff Development Day birthday video and Minute to Win It, hosted by our own Mike Pickett in his final performance as Guy Fieri. The fun begins at 2:30pm - don't miss it, not even for a minute!

BEAR Day 

Brown Employee Appreciation and Recognition (B.E.A.R.) Day is a community celebration of years of service and performance excellence. President Christina Paxson invites all members of the Brown community to celebrate the ongoing achievements of staff at a ceremony and reception in early February. Brown Gives Green is an annual charities drive supporting two organizations that provide essential resources to individuals and families in Rhode Island: The Fund for Community Progress and United Way of Rhode Island.Watch the Brown Gives Green video.

Bear Bargains 

Bear Bargains is a discount program for all members of the Brown community. A Brown ID Card allows students, faculty, and staff access to a variety of discounts and services in the Providence area community and beyond. Working in partnership with Working Advantage, Brown Community members may also access national discounts for travel, entertainment, and more!
