This Institute examined specific areas of law (international economic law; labor; property and land reform; human rights; etc.) from a critical perspective, as well as explored new approaches to institutional and regulatory structures at the global level.

Manley O. Hudson Professor of Law and Faculty Director of the Institute for Global Law and Policy. at Harvard Law School. As a practicing lawyer and consultant, Professor Kennedy has worked on numerous international projects, both commercial and public, including work with the United Nations, the Commission of the European Union, and the Qatar Foundation.

Doctoral Candidate in International Relations at The Fletcher School, Tufts University. Her dissertation analyzes international intervention and the construction of the ‘international community’ by examining the framing and institutional design of, as well as resistance to, international activity from the League of Nations until the contemporary era.
