International students playing in the snow for the first time
The International Visiting Scholars Program is a key component of Brown’s relationship with several of its international partner institutions. The Program promotes institutional collaborations as it opens new avenues for individual educational growth. Visiting Scholars benefit from a period of productive professional development and opportunities to meet and work with students and colleagues in the same academic field. They may also enjoy the opportunity to advise Brown students planning a period of foreign study at the participant's home university, administered by the Office of International Programs.
The Office of International Affairs’ International Visit Liaison, Diana Perdomo, administers the International Visiting Scholars Program, receiving applications and coordinating the review and acceptance process. Diana works closely with partner institutions, and Brown’s International Admissions, Graduate School, Office of International Scholar and Student Services, and Office of International Programs, to ensure that International Visiting Scholars are equipped to enjoy a productive exchange while at Brown.
Through the International Visiting Scholars Program, Brown University accepts applications for Visiting Non-Degree Undergraduate Students, Visiting Non-Degree Graduate students, Visiting Research Fellows and Visiting Professors from the following partner institutions:
Consortium for Advanced Studies in Barcelona
Chinese University of Hong Kong
Indian Institute of Technology – Bombay
Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro
