The President's Staff Advisory Council (SAC) is organizing a group of volunteers to help out at the Amos House Soup Kitchen on Saturday, September 21 from 9 am - 1 pm.
Volunteers will assist with preparing lunch, serving meals in the buffet line, and a light clean-up.
Amos House is a nonprofit social services agency that provides hospitality and direct services to the homeless and poor of Rhode Island. In 1976, the founder sister Eileen Murphy started a small soup kitchen to provide dinner to several dozen homeless men. Today, Amos House serves free breakfast and lunch to as many as 800 people, nearly every day.
If you'd like to volunteer on September 21, please register by completing this form.
