Please join SAC in wishing a fond farewell to departing employee Karen Maldonado, the Service Response Coordinator for the Brown Facilities Management office. After eight years of service to the University, Karen will be working as a school counselor at a middle school in Central Falls. Earlier this month, Brown bid a warm and heartfelt goodbye to Sarah Sceery, the Project Assistant for Advancement's Brown Sports Foundation and a valued member of the President’s Staff Advisory Council (SAC). Sarah accepted a new advancement position at Merrimack College, located just north of Boston. (Distributed August 12, 2014)
Dorinda Moulton joined the Department of Computer Science at Brown 30 years ago. Currently the department’s User Services Coordinator, she landed at Brown right out of school. Since her arrival, “I’ve watched the department grow and change. This job is always exciting because there is always something new. Plus, I have the best boss I could have. He never criticizes and always make you feel good about yourself,” referring to CS Director of Information Technology Jeff Coady (also retiring this summer).
SAC held a Meet & Mingle gathering for staff on July 17 at Lola's Cantina. The sun was out and there was a light breeze off the water. Everyone met new people, sipped cold drinks, laughed, chatted, and enjoyed appetizers. Don't miss the pictures on Facebook!
